If you support open source why do you display these videos in a non-open format like Flash? YouTube and Google offer the libraries of existing video which make this project possible, in it's intial form, but we might be able to steer video creators to new services as it evolves. However, it's also important to note that YouTube and Google can provide significant amounts of exposure. In my opinion we should work to support open source alternatives but not at the expense of ignoring those huge audiences. Hopefully, a robust FOSS alternative to sites like YouTube and Google Video will emerge. If you'd like to take part in that effort the Free Software Foundation is a good place to start.
